This Privacy Policy describes how GiveMeMood ("we", "us", or "our") handles information in connection with the CounterApp mobile application ("the App"), available on Google Play.

CounterApp is developed and maintained by GiveMeMood, an independent individual developer. Our website is givememood.com.

Summary: CounterApp does not collect, transmit, or share any personal data with us or third parties. All data you create in the App is stored exclusively on your device.

1. Information We Do Not Collect

We want to be transparent: we do not collect any personal information from you. Specifically:

  • We do not collect names, email addresses, or account information
  • We do not use analytics or tracking tools
  • We do not display advertisements
  • We do not use cookies or similar tracking technologies
  • We do not collect device identifiers or usage statistics
  • We do not have servers that receive or store your data

2. Data Stored Locally on Your Device

CounterApp stores all user-created data exclusively on your device in a local database. This includes:

None of this data is transmitted to us or any third party. This data remains on your device and is fully under your control.

3. Device Permissions

CounterApp may request the following permissions. Each permission is optional and the App functions without them (with limited features):

4. Third-Party Services

The App integrates with the following third-party services:

Google Play Billing

CounterApp is a paid application distributed through Google Play. The purchase transaction is handled entirely by Google Play. We do not have access to your payment information (credit card number, billing address, etc.). Google's handling of your payment data is governed by Google's Privacy Policy.

Google Drive (Backup)

The App offers an optional backup feature that allows you to save your data to your personal Google Drive account. This feature is entirely user-initiated. When you use it:

  • Data is transferred directly from your device to your Google Drive account
  • We do not have access to your Google Drive or the backup data
  • This transfer is governed by Google's Privacy Policy

OpenStreetMap

When you use the map feature to pick a location, the App loads map tiles from OpenStreetMap servers. This may transmit your approximate viewport coordinates to OpenStreetMap. No personal data is sent. OpenStreetMap's privacy policy is available at osmfoundation.org.

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell, trade, rent, or otherwise share any user data with third parties. Since we do not collect any data, there is nothing to share.

The App includes export features (HTML, CSV, Excel) that allow you to share your own counter data at your discretion. These exports are generated locally on your device and shared only when you explicitly choose to do so.

6. Data Retention and Deletion

Since all data is stored locally on your device:

  • Deletion: You can delete any counter, note, photo, or other data within the App at any time. You can also clear all App data or uninstall the App through your device settings, which will permanently delete all associated data.
  • Retention: Data persists on your device until you delete it. We have no ability to access, retain, or recover your data.

7. Children's Privacy

CounterApp is listed on Google Play as intended for users aged 18 and older, solely because the App is a paid application. The App does not contain any content that is inappropriate for children.

We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children under the age of 18. Since the App does not collect any data, no special provisions for children's data are necessary.

8. Data Security

Your data is stored locally on your device and is protected by your device's own security measures (screen lock, encryption, etc.). We recommend that you:

  • Keep your device's operating system up to date
  • Use a screen lock (PIN, pattern, fingerprint, or face recognition)
  • Use the optional Google Drive backup feature to prevent data loss

9. International Users

CounterApp is available worldwide. Since all data is stored locally on your device and we do not collect or transfer any data, there are no cross-border data transfers to be concerned about. The App supports 16 languages for your convenience.

10. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction (including but not limited to GDPR, CCPA, and other applicable laws), you may have rights regarding your personal data. Since CounterApp does not collect any personal data:

  • There is no data for us to provide, correct, or delete
  • You have full control over all data stored locally on your device
  • You can delete all data at any time by clearing the App's data or uninstalling it
